Growth Associate - M&A Platform
Overview
The Growth Associate role is a six-month fixed-term contract with manda, an M&A platform that is part of iwoca. Based in London, the position focuses on helping small business owners exit by matching them with serious buyers and handling the process in one place, including financial due diligence and acquisition finance. With the right traction, this role has the opportunity to convert into a permanent position.
What you get
The role offers a salary of £30,000 to £40,000 per annum on a pro rata basis, depending on experience. Benefits include flexible working hours, medical insurance from Vitality with discounted gym membership, a choice between a dedicated dental plan or a health cash plan, and a private GP service for employees, partners, and dependents. Employees receive 25 days of holiday per year, an extra day off for birthdays, the option to buy or sell up to five additional days of annual leave, and unlimited unpaid leave, alongside a one-month fully paid sabbatical after four years. Additional offerings include instant access to counselling and therapy sessions, 3 percent pension contributions on total earnings, an employee equity incentive scheme, generous parental leave, a nursery tax benefit scheme, an electric car scheme, a cycle to work scheme, two company retreats per year, and a learning and development budget with access to learning platforms like Treehouse.
Requirements
Applicants must have some experience in outreach, sales, or growth through a role such as SDR, BDR, marketing, a startup, or an independent project. Candidates must be numerate, analytical, comfortable with rejection, genuinely interested in SMEs, M&A, or business transitions, based in London, and available full-time. Bonus qualifications include hands-on experience with outbound tools like HubSpot or LinkedIn Sales Navigator, previous experience hitting meetings or pipeline targets, and experience building targeting or lead-scoring models.

- Selling a small business is hard. Only one in five UK SME owners has a formal exit plan, yet half are counting on their business to fund their retirement. Below £10m in enterprise value, most M&A advisers can't make the economics work, so a generation of owner-managers is getting ready to step back with no realistic route to a sale.
