Overview

The Global Methane Hub (GMH), the first coordinated philanthropic initiative dedicated to reducing methane emissions, is hiring a full-time Remote Administrative Assistant to support its senior leadership. GMH funds projects tackling methane across the energy, agriculture and waste sectors, which account for about 96 percent of human-caused methane emissions. It is headquartered in Chile with a registered foundation in the Netherlands and works with governments, researchers, civil society and philanthropic partners on six continents through grants, convenings and knowledge sharing.

The assistant supports three leaders, the Director of Development and Impact, the Chief of Staff and Operations and the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, and reports to the Director of Development and Impact. The job is 40 hours per week, with a preference for applicants in time zones from GMT-4 to GMT+1. Duties include managing complex executive calendars across time zones, scheduling and resolving conflicts, preparing meeting materials and notes, tracking action items, coordinating domestic and international travel including flights, accommodation and visas, preparing itineraries, organising files and records, processing expense reports, supporting virtual and in-person events, maintaining contact databases, coordinating between internal teams and external partners and supporting organisational systems.

Requirements

Preferred qualifications include two to three years in administrative or executive support, experience with international organisations or NGOs, proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and Zoom, excellent English, Spanish or French as an asset, strong organisation and multitasking, calendar coordination across time zones, good interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently in multicultural teams, flexibility to work outside normal hours at times and a passion for climate action.

What you get

The salary is USD 39,000 to 49,000 for Latin America-based hires, adjusted by location.
