Overview
GiveWell, a nonprofit that researches highly cost-effective opportunities in global health and development and directs funding to them, is hiring for several positions in its Operations department. Roles cover Grants Administration, People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Technology, AI Enablement and Executive Support at coordinator, specialist and associate levels. Most are fully remote within the United States, and staff may also use offices in Oakland, California, or Brooklyn, New York, though attendance is generally optional.
Open roles
Grants Administration needs up to three associates or senior associates to manage grants from research handoff through due diligence, contracts, payments and reporting, using Salesforce, Asana and Ironclad. People Operations needs up to three coordinators and specialists for the employee lifecycle, payroll, benefits, leave, compliance and, in some roles, international employment, immigration and Employer of Record management. Talent Acquisition Coordinators review applications, run screening calls, coordinate interviews and work trials and source candidates. Technology Coordinators and Specialists handle IT onboarding, software licences, troubleshooting and staff training. An AI Enablement Specialist builds guides, videos and tools and supports safe AI deployment. Executive Support includes an Associate in the Office of the CEO and a Chief of Staff in the Office of the COO, who may be asked to work from Oakland one or two days per week.

What you get
US annual compensation is $83,500 to $92,000 for coordinators, $102,500 to $113,000 for specialists and associates, and $123,000 to $135,500 for senior roles, with the higher figure in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area.
