Overview

Fairtrade Africa is a member-based organisation working with farmers, workers and producer organisations across Africa, and its network represents more than 1.5 million producers in 29 countries. It has published a set of employment, consultancy and procurement opportunities for professionals and service providers. Its work spans smallholder coffee cooperatives in East Africa, flower workers in Southern Africa and cocoa producers in West Africa, with priorities including climate resilience, living incomes and living wages, gender equity and youth inclusion, market access, and producer-led advocacy.

What is on offer

Two staff vacancies are listed: a Communications Officer for the Southern Africa region and a Senior Project Officer for the Productivity and Living Income Program. The latter is aimed at experienced development professionals working on producer productivity and adequate incomes.

Several terms of reference for service providers and consultants are also listed. These cover health insurance services in Ghana, office cleaning and clerical services in Ghana, and physical security services for the Fairtrade Africa West Africa Network in Ghana. Two further assignments relate to Ethiopia's flower sector: a business case, and a digital grievance system.

Who can apply

Eligibility, technical requirements, deliverables and submission procedures differ for each item, so individuals, organisations and service providers are expected to read the relevant vacancy or terms of reference before applying. The source gives no detailed qualifications for the individual posts.

How to apply

Applicants should review the document for the opportunity they want and follow its instructions. Fairtrade Africa also provides an official 2026 application form for applicants to relevant positions, and all required information and supporting documents should be included. Closing dates and requirements vary between opportunities, so details should be checked in the official documentation. The organisation says it adds new vacancies, consultancies and tenders over time.
