Essential experience includes nonprofit financial management, restricted donor funding, institutional donor regulations, compliance and governance, budgeting and forecasting, reporting, audit management, internal controls, training non-finance teams and leading distributed teams. Knowledge of European Union, European government and US foundation requirements is valuable. Knowledge of human rights and social justice principles, experience with automated financial systems and process improvement and another UN language are desirable.
