Director of Engineering

Overview

True Talent Solutions Partners is recruiting a Director of Engineering on behalf of a Series A AI risk management company. The position is based in London, United Kingdom, operating on a hybrid schedule with in-person work required four days per week and one remote day on Tuesday or Friday. The role involves leading and scaling the engineering organization, shaping technical culture, and partnering with company leadership on organizational strategy, product decisions, and headcount planning.

Requirements

Applicants must have at least five years of engineering leadership experience, which includes direct accountability for hiring, leadership development, and team structure while scaling an organization from roughly 25 to 100 or more people. Candidates need experience leading globally distributed teams within a high-growth or startup environment, as well as technical judgment spanning AI research, applied machine learning, production deployment, and infrastructure. Additional qualifications include experience at a fast-growing company beyond Series B, familiarity with the challenges of organizational scaling, strong public-facing technical communication skills, and a degree from a highly regarded institution or equivalent professional experience. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What you get

The base salary ranges from $325,000 to $365,000 USD annually.
