Overview

Generation Ghana and its partners run a fully sponsored Digital Marketing Bootcamp for young people in Ghana and Nigeria. The training lasts 13 weeks in person or 14 weeks online, and runs full-time from Monday to Friday, with in-person days from 9 am to 4 pm and online days from 9 am to 5 pm. Locations are Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Takoradi in Ghana and Abuja in Nigeria, with online cohorts available for Accra, Takoradi and Abuja. There is no tuition fee.

Participants learn digital marketing strategy, SEO and SEM, content creation with Canva and WordPress, email marketing with Mailchimp and social media marketing on Facebook and Instagram. The curriculum also covers behavioural skills such as persistence, communication and time management, and employability skills including CV and LinkedIn preparation, interview technique, pitching and portfolio building. After training comes a placement phase with employer engagement, a structured job search, interview simulations and alumni community support. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Digital Marketer, Digital Marketing Associate, Executive or Officer, and for freelance work.
