Coordinator, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) – Remote Nonprofit Opportunity at Episcopal Relief & Development | $34–$36/Hour | Apply by September 14, 2026
Overview
Episcopal Relief & Development is hiring a Coordinator, Monitoring, Evaluation, & Learning (MEL) to support the operations of its Strategic Learning & Impact unit. The position is full-time and remote, with work performed from anywhere in the United States, and pays $34 to $36 per hour. The coordinator helps carry out complex monitoring, evaluation and learning projects, working with cross-functional teams, consultants and implementing program partners across several projects with linked timelines, and reports closely to the Senior Director.
The role
Operations administration forms a large part of the job: organizing recurring unit processes, maintaining Asana projects and templates, tracking annual plans, managing MEL resources, scheduling meetings, tracking budgets and preparing status reports in tools such as PowerPoint and Canva. The coordinator also supports consultant and vendor administration, including competitive bidding, contracting, tracking deliverables and invoices, and keeping payments on time.
Other duties include coordinating the tablets partners use for data collection, covering procurement plans, setup and data-security compliance, maintaining multi-year evaluation and research plans, supporting the sharing of evaluation findings, tracking technical-assistance requests and organizing virtual and in-person MEL training events.
Requirements
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in International Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences or a related field and have at least two years of project coordination experience in an administrative, operations or project-support role. Monitoring and evaluation knowledge, experience with international nonprofit or governmental organizations, and experience in cross-cultural settings are advantageous. Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are required, together with experience in Asana or a similar project-management tool. Fluent English is required, and French, Spanish or Portuguese is desirable. The employer also seeks planning, time-management, attention to detail, independence and diplomacy.
Work arrangements
The employee must be willing to work Eastern Time business hours and, when needed, coordinate with partners in other countries. Occasional travel within the United States, and possibly to under-resourced international settings, may be required.
