Coefficient Giving Salesforce Architect or Senior Architect – Remote Global Opportunity|Apply befor 5 Oct 2026
Overview
Coefficient Giving is hiring a Salesforce Architect or Senior Architect for a full-time, remote position open globally, in its Operations department. Coefficient Giving is a philanthropic funder and advisor that works with donors on cost-effective, high-impact giving across areas such as global health research, transformative AI, biosecurity, economic growth and farm animal welfare. It has directed more than $7 billion in grants since 2014. The role helps design and improve the systems behind grantmaking and partnerships operations, where Salesforce is the system of record alongside tools such as Airtable, FormAssembly, Fillout and Ironclad.
What you will do
The architect has design authority over a highly customized Salesforce environment and its integrations. Work includes building complex solutions with Apex and Lightning Web Components, writing technical documentation and SOQL queries, making decisions on scalability, maintainability, user experience and integrations, turning business requirements into specifications, spotting platform and integration risks, supporting security and data compliance, and contributing to sharing and permissions models. The architect partners with an existing senior technical lead, mentors colleagues, reviews technical work, helps resolve escalated support issues and promotes DevOps practice. The team uses Gearset, IntelliJ with Illuminated Cloud and AI-enabled development tools, including an internally developed Salesforce MCP. The position has no direct reports.
Requirements
The role needs about five or more years of hands-on Salesforce development, including substantial Apex, SOQL and Lightning Web Components work; senior-level candidates likely have around seven or more years. Applicants need deep knowledge of platform limits, experience with complex projects and Salesforce DevOps including Gearset, and the ability to explain concepts to technical and non-technical colleagues. Required certifications are Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM-201) and Platform Developer I. Platform Developer II or architect-level certifications are desirable.
Location and compensation
Candidates outside the United States can be considered, but visa sponsorship is not available and applicants must have three to four hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern Time. For U.S.-based hires, baseline compensation is $179,975, made up of a $156,500 base salary and a $23,475 unconditional 401(k) grant. International hires receive take-home salary, with benefits varying by location. Benefits include paid time off, family leave, professional development support, remote-work assistance and a flexible expense policy.
