Overview
Swift Sports Organisation is a community-based organisation in Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District, Uganda. Founded in 2018, it began with evening netball and fitness sessions and now uses sport as a tool for tackling social challenges, supporting children, young people, women and families. Its programmes cover sports talent identification and development, educational support for children, skills development for single mothers, basic education, child nutrition support, mentorship and community wellbeing. It is looking for a Freelance International Fundraiser to work remotely and help it meet a short-term fundraising goal of raising $600 while building stronger systems for long-term sustainability.
The fundraiser works closely with the organisation's leadership to identify funding opportunities and potential donors, build relationships with international partners and supporters, support grant applications and fundraising campaigns, develop resource mobilisation strategies, create partnerships aligned with the mission, communicate with donors and stakeholders, advise on sustainable fundraising and help raise the organisation's global visibility.
What you get
The contract is freelance and runs from August 10, 2026 to October 5, 2026. Compensation is USD $100 to $200 per month, set by mutual agreement. The work is open to professionals worldwide and offers cross-cultural experience and the chance to build partnerships with a grassroots organisation.
Who can apply
The organisation wants someone with experience or interest in international fundraising and donor engagement, nonprofit development, partnership building, project development, social impact and community development, with strong communication and networking skills. The level is managerial and a two-year degree is required. Applicants should be over 30 years of age and show strong English; knowledge of other international languages is an advantage.
