Overview

ActionAid UK is hiring an Acquisition Campaigns Specialist to join its fundraising and digital marketing team. The successful candidate will plan, deliver, and optimise digital marketing campaigns that attract supporters and help the organisation meet its fundraising targets. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months, based in London or Chard, Somerset, United Kingdom.

Who can apply

Candidates with experience in paid social media advertising, direct marketing, and fundraising may be well suited to this opportunity. Applicants must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom. ActionAid UK welcomes applications from people with different backgrounds and experiences, particularly encouraging applications from under-represented and marginalised communities.

What you get

The advertised salary ranges from £37,923 to £43,260, depending on location. Employee benefits include flexible working arrangements and core hours, generous annual leave, the option to purchase an additional five days of annual leave, pension contributions, employer-paid life assurance, interest-free season ticket loans, access to the Bike2Work scheme, reimbursement for eye tests and glasses, and enhanced maternity and paternity leave.

Requirements

Applicants need a strong understanding of paid social media platforms and experience in direct marketing or fundraising. The ideal candidate should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of paid social advertising platforms, experience delivering digital marketing or supporter acquisition campaigns, an understanding of fundraising targets and performance measurement, the ability to analyse data and report on results, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to women's rights, gender equality, and humanitarian work. Experience in a not-for-profit organisation is desirable, and applicants should be comfortable supporting emergency fundraising activity with occasional out-of-hours responsibilities. Successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory references, screening checks, and must uphold safeguarding commitments.

How to apply

Interested candidates should submit their applications through the official recruitment portal by completing every section of the application form honestly and thoroughly, explaining how their experience meets the job description and person specification. Candidates must provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Key dates

Applications close on November 1, 2026, although the organisation may close the vacancy early if it receives a high number of applications.
