Overview

A call has been issued for senior evaluators to join an expanding network of evaluation professionals. The work suits specialists in gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI), gender-based violence (GBV), violence against women and girls (VAWG), safeguarding and climate-related programmes. Evaluators based in the United Kingdom or internationally can apply, and assignments are carried out remotely.

This is not a single fixed post. Joining the network means evaluators may be considered for future short- or medium-term assignments, which vary in scope and length, so the call suits experienced consultants who want flexible work without a permanent full-time role. Interest is accepted on a rolling basis.

Requirements

Applicants should have experience evaluating programmes, portfolios, policies or institutions, ideally across complex development, humanitarian, gender, safeguarding or climate work, and from design through to reporting. A key requirement is experience with qualitative, inclusive and participatory approaches, such as stakeholder consultations, interviews, focus groups and document reviews. Work on GBV and VAWG calls for sensitivity, ethical awareness and an understanding of safeguarding principles. Excellent report-writing and stakeholder engagement skills are also required, since findings must be clearly communicated to programme teams, funders, partners and decision-makers.

Who can apply

The call may suit senior evaluators, monitoring, evaluation and learning specialists, research consultants, gender, GEDSI, GBV, VAWG and safeguarding specialists, climate evaluation specialists, and international development or humanitarian consultants. Relevant experience matters more than academic qualifications alone.

How to apply

Interested evaluators send a CV and a short description of their relevant experience by email, highlighting expertise in areas such as GEDSI, GBV, VAWG, safeguarding or climate. No deadline or pay rate is stated.
