WIPO Graduate Internships Offer CHF 2,170 Monthly: Eligibility and How the Roster Works
Overview
The World Intellectual Property Organization offers graduate internship opportunities at its Geneva headquarters. The placements provide students and recent graduates with professional experience in an international organization across fields such as intellectual property, law, economics, communications, technology, administration, and international cooperation. Internships generally last between two and twelve months depending on the position, and candidates submit their profiles through an internship roster for consideration by relevant departments.
Who can apply
The programme is open to applicants who meet specific educational criteria, including recent master's degree graduates who obtained their advanced degree within the two years preceding the application, graduate students who have completed their coursework but not their final thesis, and candidates who already hold an advanced degree and are currently pursuing an additional degree. Candidates must possess professional written and spoken knowledge of English and/or French. Former WIPO interns are not eligible to apply.
What you get
Category II interns assigned to the Geneva headquarters receive a monthly stipend of CHF 2,170 to contribute toward living costs. Eligible interns may also receive medical and professional accident insurance coverage with the full premium paid by the organization, 2.5 days of annual leave per month, 10 official holidays per year, and assistance with Swiss visa formalities. Nationals of developing, least-developed, or transitioning countries residing in their home country at the time of recruitment may qualify for round-trip travel reimbursement up to CHF 1,500.
