The assignment is a 12-month full-time consultancy based in New York, United States, within the communications function. The consultant supports communication with UN Women personnel so that staff have timely, relevant and engaging organizational information.

Candidates need professional communications experience with strong writing and editing and experience reaching different audiences. Internal communications experience, such as employee newsletters, intranets or organizational announcements, is an advantage, as is experience in women's rights, gender equality, human rights or international development.
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, including the ability to turn complex information into concise, engaging content. Digital literacy is important, and experience with SharePoint and content management tools, knowledge of communication analytics, and basic graphic design skills with tools such as Canva are helpful. Fluency in English is needed, and another UN official language is an advantage.
