Precursor Ventures Internships 2027: Two Paid Remote Opportunities for Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Overview
Precursor Ventures offers two paid, remote internships for undergraduate and graduate students starting in January 2027. The available positions are the University Ecosystem Intern and the AI & Investment Operations Intern. Both roles run for 12 weeks from 21 January to 15 April 2027, requiring roughly 15 hours per week in a part-time capacity that accommodates academic schedules. The opportunities provide hands-on experience inside an early-stage venture capital firm investing in pre-Series A startups.
Who can apply
Applicants must be currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students at a United States college or university and authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. The University Ecosystem role targets students interested in community building, storytelling, campus engagement, and entrepreneurship. The AI & Investment Operations role suits students interested in artificial intelligence, automation, operations, workflow design, and startup evaluation. Previous venture capital experience is not required for either position.
What you get
Selected participants receive a paid, part-time work experience offering direct involvement in practical projects and exposure to how an early-stage investment firm evaluates startups and makes investment decisions. Interns collaborate with the investment team, participate in weekly team meetings and founder pitches, and evaluate multiple startups while receiving feedback on their investment thinking. The University Ecosystem intern designs and hosts a campus-focused event, while the AI & Investment Operations intern delivers an AI tooling audit, a shared resource dashboard, and workflow recommendations.
Requirements
Applicants for the University Ecosystem position must be able to demonstrate a project, community, event, or online presence they have built, understand student founders, and enjoy combining creative work with practical execution. Candidates for the AI & Investment Operations role must be able to demonstrate a tool, automation, dashboard, or workflow they have built, use AI tools in their own work, and possess thoughtful views on where artificial intelligence is useful. Both roles require attendance at weekly team meetings on Tuesdays and Fridays in Pacific Time.
Key dates
The internships run from 21 January 2027 to 15 April 2027. Applications close on 29 November 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
