Overview

Limetax offers a full-time Member of Technical Staff intern position based at its headquarters in Berlin. The internship lasts for 4 to 6 months with an immediate start date. The role involves joining the engineering team to build agentic-first accounting and tax technology for German small and medium-sized enterprises. Interns take end-to-end ownership of a technical problem and contribute to systems used in real operational environments.

Requirements

Applicants must be strong builders with experience creating software beyond standard coursework, such as through personal projects, open-source contributions, previous internships, research, or university projects. Candidates need strong technical foundations in data structures, algorithms, databases, APIs, and modern software-development practices. The profile requires high agency, engineering problem-solving skills, AI-native familiarity with modern AI tools or hands-on experience with large language models, agents, and retrieval systems, and product intuition. Clear communication in English is required, while knowledge of German is helpful but not mandatory.
