Legal & Compliance Intern (f/m/x)
Overview
HelloFresh is offering a paid Legal and Compliance internship in its Benelux Legal team in Amsterdam. The intern acts as the first point of contact for day-to-day legal questions across the business and supports the legal counsels by taking on routine contract reviews and compliance tasks so that commercial projects keep moving. The team works with Marketing, HR, Operations and Procurement in a fast-moving, regulated food and e-commerce setting, and the internship shows how in-house legal work supports the business.
What you will do
The intern drafts, reviews and processes standard agreements such as NDAs, terms and conditions and vendor contracts together with the counsels, and filters legal questions from teams such as Marketing and HR, giving practical answers and escalating complex matters. Further tasks include keeping compliance and regulatory obligations up to date through record-keeping and basic checks, organising legal databases and templates, researching industry-relevant legal topics and summarising them, and improving legal processes by suggesting templates, FAQs or better ways of working.
Who can apply
Applicants must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in law at a university or hogeschool, and must be able to meet the internship eligibility and university requirements that will be asked about during the application, such as duration and documentation.
Requirements
A basic understanding of contract law and corporate compliance is needed, together with excellent written and spoken English and Dutch, strong organisation, the ability to work independently on high-volume tasks, a pragmatic problem-solving mindset and a proactive attitude.
What you get
Interns receive structured guidance, a HelloFresh laptop, discounts on HelloFresh and Factor subscriptions, a flexible hybrid set-up with a daily remote work allowance of 2.45 euros, reimbursement of second-class public transport or 0.23 euros per km for car or bicycle travel, and a subsidised lunch in the office. Profiles are usually reviewed within five business days.
