Entrepreneur in Residence (Intern)
Overview
Melotech, a Berlin-based media and entertainment technology company, is recruiting an Entrepreneur in Residence on an internship basis. The company creates art through technology and says its work has been heard and watched for over 4 billion minutes worldwide in just 24 months. It was founded by entrepreneur and investor Soheil Mirpour and is backed by Cherry Ventures, Speedinvest and GFC, along with angel investors from firms such as Spotify, Blackstone and KKR.
The role is to identify new market opportunities and develop them into sustainable ventures: exploring emerging markets, building strategic partnerships and launching new verticals from concept to scale. The person works autonomously alongside the founder and is expected to have a direct influence on the company's direction. Work is remote, with regular global offsites.
What you will do
Typical tasks include identifying and validating market opportunities across media categories, geographies and platforms, building automated systems and operational frameworks that allow rapid scaling, and leading cross-functional initiatives that connect new business lines with existing operations. The role also involves designing strategic experiments on market entry, partnership models and go-to-market approaches, forming partnerships with industry leaders, technology platforms and distribution networks, and developing market entry strategies and operational blueprints for new verticals.
Who can apply
The company looks for an upcoming business development professional who is pursuing a degree in business, economics, engineering, mathematics or a related analytical field. Direct venture-building experience in high-growth startups, or indirect experience through leading consultancies and investment firms, is expected, along with skill in business model innovation, operational system design and financial modelling. Candidates should be self-starters who work well with little guidance, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a genuine interest in music, video or social media.
What you get
The position offers a competitive salary and equity in the business, flat hierarchies and early-employee influence on the company's direction.
How to apply
Hiring is rolling with a start date as soon as possible, and the process can move from start to offer within a week. Stages are an online assessment, an introductory call, a take-home case study, a case interview, a founder interview, a team interview and finally the offer, contract and onboarding.
