Overview

Helsing, a defence AI company whose mission is to protect democracies, is recruiting a Communications Intern in Paris. The company aims for technological leadership so that open societies can keep making sovereign decisions and setting their own ethical standards. Its team consists of engineers, AI specialists and customer-facing programme managers, and it encourages open debate about the use of technology in defence.

The intern supports communications and government affairs activity across France, with a particular focus on media monitoring, press logistics and content production. The role helps the team understand how Helsing is discussed in the French press, keeps media and stakeholder relationships organised and ensures that materials are polished and on-brand. The intern also plays a dedicated part in preparing and delivering Paris Air Show 2027, one of the most significant events on the company calendar.

What you will do

Daily work includes tracking and analysing French press coverage and flagging key narratives and shifts in sentiment, coordinating logistics for press events and media engagements from scheduling to on-site delivery, and drafting and proofreading internal updates, social copy and briefing notes. The intern maintains a media and stakeholder contact database for outreach, supports government affairs activities such as meeting coordination and roundtable and conference planning, and helps across all phases of Paris Air Show 2027, from planning to on-the-ground execution.

Who can apply

Candidates should communicate fluently in French and English, in writing and speech, write clear and concise copy for different audiences and formats, and manage several moving parts at once without losing detail. Building relationships with media and stakeholder contacts, adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting and approaching ambiguous tasks with curiosity and method are also important. The company notes that women and other minority groups are under-represented in its industry and encourages applications even from those who meet only some of the listed qualifications.

What you get

Benefits include a meal card worth 9 euros per day with half funded by the employer and 50 percent reimbursement of a transport subscription.
