Affiliate Marketing Intern
Overview
SumUp is offering a paid internship of six to twelve months in its Affiliate Marketing team in Berlin. The team helps small businesses discover SumUp products through a network of partners across Europe that has more than doubled in size over the past year. It sits within the wider Performance Marketing group and manages web partnerships and influencers from first outreach through to long-term growth, working with an agency, designers and content colleagues.
The internship gives hands-on exposure to how a specialist marketing channel runs day to day, from partner research to campaign activation and reporting.
What you will do
The intern supports partner research, onboarding and activation for an agreed market or partner segment using existing playbooks, and helps keep partner offers, content, visuals and commission information accurate. Other tasks include creating and following up on tickets for assets, tracking and landing page updates, assisting with routine reporting such as partner evaluations and performance summaries, and working with the agency, designers and content colleagues to keep campaigns and promotions on track.
Who can apply
The team seeks someone studying towards, or recently graduated with, a degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field. A basic understanding of performance marketing, online customer journeys and campaign KPIs is expected, together with comfort using spreadsheets and reporting tools, interest in AI and new tools with a critical eye on their output, strong attention to detail and excellent written and spoken English.
What you get
The internship is paid at a fixed hourly rate of 13.9 euros. Benefits include 28 days of paid leave pro-rated plus public holidays, an employee assistance programme, an Urban Sports Club subsidy, on-site gym access, yoga and team sports, a subsidised Deutschlandticket for local and regional transport, partly subsidised office lunches and a weekly breakfast, and a referral reward programme. The Berlin office is located at Ostbahnhof.
How to apply
The selection process starts with an application review, followed by a small business case to complete within five days. Successful candidates present the case in an interview with the Affiliate Marketing Lead and then join a team and stakeholder interview, after which an offer goes to the top candidate.
