Overview

RECO offers a graduation internship focused on the digital construction site and artificial intelligence. The organization specializes in the rental and servicing of construction site materials for projects in construction, infrastructure, renovation, government, and events. The construction sector is rapidly digitizing through data, internet of things, artificial intelligence, software as a service solutions, sensors, and real-time monitoring.

The main objective of the assignment is to research and conceptualize a scalable digital platform and concept that allows construction sites to be integrally monitored, managed, and optimized by combining software as a service, artificial intelligence, internet of things, and existing RECO services. Interns are expected to deliver a conceptually developed and substantiated digitalization concept that goes beyond a theoretical advisory report, including a working prototype or proof-of-concept.

Who can apply

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a higher professional education program in software development or engineering, information and communications technology, technical computer science, business information technology and management, artificial intelligence and data science, or applied data science. Applicants need a strong analytical mindset combined with an entrepreneurial attitude, an interest in artificial intelligence, software as a service, and cloud technologies, and an affinity for software development.

Additional personal traits include the ability to translate customer problems into digital solutions, the capacity to conduct independent research, and a willingness to actually build a prototype. Good command of the Dutch language is required.
