Nexa Lighthouse Funding Program 2027
Overview
The Nexa Lighthouse Funding Program 2027 provides investments for proven innovations designed to help local health actors convert climate-related health risk signals into prompt responses. Supported initiatives concentrate on decreasing health dangers tied to extreme heat, poor air quality, and mosquito-borne infections. This program is co-led by Grand Challenges Canada working alongside the Government of Canada and AVPN, with backing from the Bayer Foundation, India Health Fund, Novo Nordisk Foundation, Sanofi Foundation, and Temasek Foundation.
Proposals are required to center on specific areas, which include climate-informed early warning and monitoring systems that enable health actors to anticipate the effects of changing mosquito ecology, poor air quality, and heat. Alternatively, projects can target climate-responsive patient care delivery to reinforce local responses against the health consequences of heat, poor air quality, and mosquito-borne infections such as dengue and malaria.
