The Spaza Shop Support Fund (SSSF) is a government-backed programme aimed at strengthening township and rural economies by supporting locally owned community convenience shops, known as spaza shops. It is backed by the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) and the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), with implementation support from key development finance institutions.
