The Amazon Research Awards programme has opened its Fall 2026 Call for Proposals to invite scientists, innovators, academics, and researchers to submit proposals across nine priority areas. The initiative is designed to support pioneering scientific research, encourage technological innovation, and accelerate the development of solutions that can generate meaningful global impact. The call covers areas such as Agentic AI, AI for Information Security, Amazon Security, Automated Reasoning, AWS Cryptography, Build on Trainium, Multilingual and Contextual AI Evaluation, On-Device Multimodal Perception, and Synthetic Data Generation for Multimodal Perception.

What you get

Selected applicants receive unrestricted research funding and AWS promotional credits to support their projects. Funded participants are also assigned an Amazon research contact for ongoing engagement and gain access to training and development resources, including AWS tutorials and practical sessions led by Amazon engineers and scientists.
