VLIRUOS Fully Funded Scholarships 2027–2028 in Belgium: 12 Study Programmes Open to Eligible Applicants Worldwide
Overview
The VLIRUOS ICP Connect Scholarship Programme offers fully funded opportunities for students to study in Belgium during the 2027–2028 academic year. The programme supports 12 international study programmes delivered by Flemish universities and universities of applied sciences and arts. These include professional bachelor’s degrees, initial master’s degrees, and advanced master’s degrees, with durations ranging from 12 to 36 months. Selected candidates begin their studies in September 2027, acquiring knowledge and skills relevant to sustainable development, governance, environmental management, food systems, and other related fields.
Who can apply
Applicants must hold the nationality of and reside in one of 25 eligible countries across Africa, the Middle East, North Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Southeast Asia. Eligible countries include Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Guinea, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Morocco, Palestine, Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, Peru, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
Age limits apply based on the study level: professional bachelor’s applicants must be at least 19 and no older than 35 on 1 January of the intake year. Initial master’s applicants must not be older than 35 on that date, while advanced master’s applicants must not exceed 45 years of age by 1 January of the intake year. Preference is given to candidates working in or intending to pursue careers in higher education, government, or civil society, though recent graduates and private-sector applicants may also be considered. Candidates must additionally meet the specific academic and English-language proficiency requirements of their chosen institution.
What you get
Successful candidates receive financial support covering the full duration of their study programme. The scholarship package includes tuition fees, international travel expenses, insurance, and living expenses which cover board and lodging. Partial scholarships and extensions are not available.
Key dates
The overall call deadline is 28 February 2027, but individual study programmes may enforce earlier application deadlines. Studies commence in September 2027.
