University of Sydney International Scholarship In Australia (Fully Funded)
Overview
The University of Sydney Global Excellence Scholarships 2027 support international students undertaking a Master's by research or a PhD at the University of Sydney, which was founded in 1850 as Australia's first university. The awards are open to applicants of any nationality and across a wide range of disciplines, from science and engineering to business, health sciences and the humanities.
What you get
The scholarship is valued at $41,753 per year and helps with both full tuition fees, as set by the university, and living costs. Holders cannot hold another scholarship that supports tuition fees at the same time. It may be held for 14 full-time research periods for a research doctorate or 7 research periods for a research Master's, with no extensions. Time already spent on the degree before the award starts is deducted from the maximum tenure.
Who can apply
Applicants must be commencing or enrolled international students with an outstanding record of academic achievement and research potential. They need an unconditional offer of admission, or be currently enrolled, in a Master's by research or PhD at the university.
Requirements
Recipients must enroll and begin research by the census date of their course intake. Deferral requests may not be considered, and the university can withdraw the offer if the recipient does not obtain a suitable student visa or cannot enroll and start research by the deadline.
How to apply
Commencing students tick the box to be considered for research scholarships on the admission application for their postgraduate research degree, and no separate application is needed. Current students can apply separately. Applications are open all year round, although published round deadlines apply.
