Overview

The University of Oxford Skoll Scholarship 2027 is a fully funded MBA scholarship at Said Business School, University of Oxford, in the United Kingdom. It is intended for candidates committed to developing entrepreneurial solutions to urgent social and environmental challenges. Scholars join the Skoll Scholar community, a global network of social innovators, industry leaders, impact-driven entrepreneurs and investors, and get opportunities to meet changemakers, attend high-level events and take part in leadership development programmes.

Up to four scholarships are typically awarded each year.

What you get

The scholarship covers the full course fees for the MBA programme as well as part of living expenses.

Who can apply

Selection looks for three things. The first is entrepreneurial action: candidates have identified opportunities and acted to create positive social impact, and have spent at least 3 years driving change through entrepreneurial approaches. The second is impact with a focus on systems change: they can show the outcomes of their work and how it addresses unjust systems and practices in their area. The third is the personal qualities of a social entrepreneur, including persistence, willingness to fail and start again, a bias toward action, readiness to take personal and sometimes financial risks, skill at building networks, and first-hand experience of the problem being addressed.

Candidates who have not been accepted by Said Business School for the MBA, or who have not submitted their scholarship essays by the deadlines, cannot be considered.

How to apply

Candidates register their interest in the scholarship to receive updates on deadlines, then apply for the Oxford MBA directly to Said Business School during stages 1, 2 or 3 of the MBA admissions process, including submission of the Skoll Scholarship essays. If an MBA application succeeds, a deposit is needed to secure a place, but deposit deadlines are extended for candidates who advance through the Skoll selection process, in coordination with the admissions team. Candidates reaching the final shortlist receive a Logistics and Reference Form directly from the Skoll Centre and should not request it from the admissions team.

Key dates

The deadline is 8 January 2027.
