University of Oxford Clarendon Scholarship in UK 2027 (Fully Funded)
Overview
The Clarendon Scholarship at the University of Oxford is a fully funded award for graduate students from any country. Up to 130 outstanding Master's and DPhil candidates are supported each year. Since its start in 2001 the programme has supported over 2,500 scholars from around the world. The Master's scholarship covers programmes of one to two years, while the doctoral scholarship runs for three to four years.
What you get
The scholarship covers course fees and provides an annual living allowance for the period in which fees are payable. The allowance is usually enough for a single student living in Oxford, and recipients can expect at least GBP 15,009.
Who can apply
There are no restrictions on nationality, country of residence or subject area, so applicants from anywhere can be considered. Eligibility and selection criteria depend somewhat on the subject chosen, so applicants should check the entry requirements for their intended course. Both full-time and part-time Master's and DPhil courses are included, across the Humanities, Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences, Medical Sciences and Social Sciences divisions, and the Department for Continuing Education.
How to apply
No separate Clarendon application is required. Applicants apply online for their chosen Master's or DPhil course at Oxford by the course deadline, and they are automatically considered for the scholarship. The department makes the final decision on the place and notifies the applicant of the result.
Key dates
The relevant deadline is the course application deadline, which falls in December or January each year.
