Overview
The University of Brunei Darussalam UBD Graduate Scholarship 2027 is a fully funded postgraduate program offered by the University of Brunei. It is designed to support outstanding graduates and professionals from Brunei and all other nationalities in undertaking Master’s and Ph.D. programs. The scholarship covers numerous academic disciplines across multiple faculties, institutes, and centers, including arts and social sciences, business and economics, science, health sciences, education, Islamic studies, Asian studies, integrated technologies, materials and energy studies, and policy studies.
Who can apply
The scholarship is open to candidates of all nationalities, including both Brunei citizens and non-Brunei applicants. For master’s degree applicants, a first-class bachelor’s degree is required. For doctorate applicants, a master’s degree is required. Candidates must also submit a high-quality research proposal, demonstrate the ability to conduct studies in their chosen area, and meet the English language requirements.
What you get
This fully funded scholarship provides 100% tuition coverage, including enrollment and acceptance fees at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, with no application fees. Recipients receive a living allowance of 500.00 per month for 36 months, on-campus accommodation for 36 months, and a round-trip economy class air ticket from their home country upon accepting the scholarship and returning upon completion of studies. Additionally, field research allowances are provided at BND 1000.00 for Arts and Humanities candidates and BND 2000.00 for Science candidates. The duration varies by program category, featuring Master's by coursework lasting twelve to eighteen months full-time, Research Master's lasting twenty-four months full-time, and Doctor of Philosophy programs lasting a minimum of thirty-six months full-time or sixty months part-time.
