The scholarship operates through four application rounds each year, with periods available in February, May, August, and November.
Who can apply
Eligible doctoral candidates pursuing a PhD or another qualifying doctoral programme at the university may be considered. The university also identifies guaranteed scholarship provisions for eligible Māori and Pacific applicants who meet the specified academic requirements and receive an offer of admission to a doctoral programme. Eligible students do not normally need to submit a separate scholarship application, as they can indicate their interest when applying for admission.
