SI Scholarship for Global Professionals 2027/2028 in Sweden: Fully Funded Master’s Scholarship Worth SEK 12,000 Monthly

Overview

The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals is a competitive funding opportunity administered by the Swedish Institute, a Swedish public agency. It is designed to support international professionals who wish to pursue a master's degree at eligible Swedish universities and university colleges. The programme aims to strengthen academic knowledge, develop leadership capabilities, and encourage contributions to sustainable development in the recipients' home countries and regions.

Who can apply

The scholarship is open to citizens of eligible countries who have demonstrated work experience and leadership potential. Applicants must apply for eligible master's programmes through University Admissions and be liable to pay tuition fees under Sweden’s higher education admissions system. Eligible fields of study include governance, public health, entrepreneurship and innovation, and STEM.

What you get

Successful recipients receive full coverage of tuition fees for the awarded master's programme, paid directly to the university by the Swedish Institute. Additionally, scholars are provided with a monthly living allowance of SEK 12,000 and a one-time travel grant of SEK 15,000, though the travel grant is reduced to SEK 10,000 for scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine, and does not apply to students already living in Sweden. Recipients also gain membership in the SI Network for Global Professionals during their studies and join the Sweden Alumni Network after graduation. The scholarship does not cover insurance, grants for family members, or the University Admissions application fee.
