Overview

International students seeking to pursue a bachelor degree in South Korea can apply to Sejong University located in Seoul. The university is currently accepting applications for the second round of undergraduate admission for the Spring 2027 intake. Alongside academic programs, the institution offers various funding schemes to help reduce tuition costs for qualified international candidates.

Who can apply

The admissions and scholarship opportunities are open specifically to international undergraduate applicants. The university provides country-specific standardised document guidance for candidates originating from nations such as China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Nepal and Bangladesh.

What you get

Admitted students can receive substantial tuition reductions through different scholarship programs. The Sejong International Scholarship A provides first-semester tuition coverage based on English test scores, offering an 80 percent reduction for high scorers like IELTS 8.0, 50 percent for scores like IELTS 6.5, and 30 percent for scores like IELTS 5.5. Alternatively, Korean-track applicants can receive between 30 and 100 percent tuition waivers depending on their TOPIK levels, with Level 6 qualifying for a full 100 percent waiver. The Sejong International Scholarship B offers a 100 percent first-semester tuition waiver for students who complete the Sejong Prep Course and meet specific language program requirements. Additionally, enrolled students can earn an Outstanding Academic Scholarship covering 20 to 50 percent of tuition fees based on maintaining strong academic performance in previous semesters. On-campus dormitory facilities capable of accommodating approximately 255 international students are also available on a semester basis, though accommodation fees are separate from tuition scholarships.

Requirements

Applicants must complete the online application, pay the application fee, and upload all required documents within the designated period, as incomplete or unsatisfactory paperwork can lead to disqualification. Candidates applying for language-based scholarships must submit recognised scores such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, New TEPS, or TOPIK. Students taking the 15th TOPIK IBT exam whose results release on the deadline date may submit their application by the deadline and provide their score report by a specified later date. For continuing academic scholarships, students generally need to complete at least 15 credits in the previous semester, or 10 credits if it is their final semester.

How to apply

The application process begins with completing the online application and submitting the necessary documents through the university portal. The institution then performs document screening and holds interviews where applicable. Successful candidates move on to the admission result stage, followed by tuition payment and the issuance of an official admission letter.

Key dates

The online application period for the second round of Spring 2027 undergraduate admission runs from 22 October 2026 to 13 November 2026. The final deadline to submit the application, pay the fee, and upload all required materials is 13 November 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Korean Standard Time.
