Overview

McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, is a public research university founded in 1821 by royal charter. Its 2027 scholarships for international students cover Bachelor's, Master's, PhD and second-entry professional undergraduate programmes, with 80 awards in total: up to 60 full scholarships and 20 partial scholarships.

International undergraduate applicants are automatically considered for entrance scholarships when they complete their admission application, so no separate scholarship application is needed. For graduate study, eligible candidates apply for the McCall MacBain Scholarship, which is available in all academic disciplines.

What you get

The McCall MacBain Scholarship covers full tuition for the entire programme, other fees, and a living stipend of $2,000 per month during academic terms. Entrance scholarships are worth $3,000.

Who can apply

Undergraduate applicants need a completed secondary education. Graduate applicants need an accredited undergraduate diploma or bachelor's degree and must satisfy the academic requirements of the relevant McGill graduate department. All applicants must meet the English language requirements.

Fields of study span a very wide range, including agricultural economics, architecture, biochemistry, biology, chemical, civil, electrical and mechanical engineering, chemistry, computer science, dentistry, economics, education, environment, epidemiology, law, linguistics, management and MBA programmes, mathematics and statistics, medicine-related fields, music, nursing, philosophy, physics, political science, psychology, public health, public policy, social work, sociology and urban planning, among many others.
