Interns work in laboratories at the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology and the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, learning advanced laboratory methods and research techniques. Projects are available in biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, neuroscience, physics, psychology and related fields. The programme also offers professional development, networking with leading scientists and exposure to interdisciplinary collaboration.

What you get

The financial support is a scholarship of €1,365 and reimbursement of airfare of up to €1,500 for transatlantic flights or €750 for flights within Europe. Interns can also rent a room in the institute residences, available for full months at about €680 per month.
