France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship 2027: Study in France with Monthly Funding of Up to €2,100 for Master’s and PhD Students
Overview
The France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship Programme is an international scholarship initiative developed by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and guided by Campus France. The programme is designed to help French higher education institutions attract outstanding international students to master’s and doctoral programmes, preparing future decision-makers in both the public and private sectors. The initiative supports advanced education in priority academic disciplines including biology and health, ecological transition, mathematics and digital studies, engineering sciences, history, French language and civilisation, law and political science, and economics and management.
What you get
Selected scholarship holders receive a monthly allowance, which from January 2026 is €1,200 for master’s-level students and €2,100 for doctoral-level scholarship holders. In addition to the monthly stipend, the award provides financial support for international and domestic transportation, insurance, assistance with housing searches, and access to cultural activities. The duration of the scholarship varies by degree level, with master’s awards lasting up to 12, 24, or 36 months, and doctoral awards lasting between 12 and 36 months.
How to apply
Applicants cannot submit an application directly to Campus France. Instead, candidates must be selected and nominated by a French higher education institution, which then submits the application through the designated online platform. Prospective applicants should contact their chosen French institution to find out about institutional deadlines and internal selection procedures for the 2027 scholarship cycle.
