Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2027/29 (Fully Funded)
Overview
The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree (EMJMD) scholarship for 2027/29 is funded by the European Commission and is open to students of all nationalities. Students study in at least three to four European countries at three to four universities and graduate with a combined Master's degree. Some programmes also include an internship. The scholarship lasts one to two academic years.
For the 2026 academic year, 2176 students from more than 137 countries were selected.
What you get
The scholarship is fully funded. It covers round-trip travel tickets, the visa fee, a living allowance, tuition fees and books, and health insurance.
Who can apply
Applicants from any country are eligible. They need a minimum of 16 years of education or must be in the final year of an undergraduate degree, and must hold a valid passport. Up to three programmes may be applied for, either at three different universities or all at the same one.
GRE is not required, there is no need to contact a professor, no work experience is required, and there is no age limit. Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 have been selected in the past. An English test such as IELTS is required depending on the programme, and a score of 6.5 is generally sufficient.
Requirements
Requirements differ between programmes. Generally applicants prepare their degree and transcript, an IELTS or TOEFL result, a passport, and any other document, achievement, award or certificate that supports the application. A strong motivation letter and statement of purpose can strengthen an application, particularly for those with a lower CGPA, and should show interest in the programme and how it will benefit the applicant's career.
