Émile Boutmy Science Po University Scholarship in France 2027 (Funded)
Overview
The Émile Boutmy Scholarship is a merit-based award designed for international students from outside the European Union who wish to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate studies at Sciences Po Paris in France. Named after the founder of Sciences Po, the program aims to build a global academic community by supporting top-tier international students in fields such as political science, international affairs, public policy, law, and management. All academic fields are available in English, requiring no prior French language knowledge.
Who can apply
Applicants must be first-time candidates from a country outside the European Union and must have a domicile that does not register taxes within the European Union. Candidates must also have been admitted to a Bachelor's or Master's program at Sciences Po. The scholarship cannot be combined with other awards such as the Eiffel scholarship, AEFE scholarship, BGF scholarship, or equivalent French government grants, unless the jury makes an exceptional decision to permit it.
What you get
For Bachelor's degree students over a three-year period, the scholarship provides annual tuition grants of €7,300, €5,000, and €3,000, alongside additional living cost support toward the approximately €5,000 annual cost of living in Paris. For Master's degree students over two years, the program offers annual grants of up to €10,000 or €5,000 per year to cover a significant portion of tuition fees.
Requirements
Selection is determined by academic merit, social criteria, and how closely an applicant's profile matches the desired candidate characteristics sought for each specific program. Applicants must actively indicate their desire to be considered for the scholarship within their application, as consideration is not automatic.
How to apply
Applicants must begin their admission application through the Sciences Po online application portal for their chosen Bachelor's or Master's program. During the process, candidates must explicitly select the Émile Boutmy Scholarship in the financial information section of the form and complete all required academic transcripts, personal statements, and supporting documents.
Key dates
The deadline to submit a complete Master's program application for scholarship consideration is November 30.
