Eiffel Excellence Scholarship 2027 in France | Study in Europe
Overview
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship is a French Government program funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and run with Campus France. It helps French institutions attract high-achieving international students to master's, engineering and doctoral programs. It is designed for people living outside France and aims to train international students for decision-making roles in priority areas in both the private and public sectors.
Eligible fields include Science and Technology, Biology and Health, Ecological Transition, Mathematics and Digital Technology, Engineering Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, French History, Language and Civilization, Law and Political Science, and Economics and Management.
What you get
Master's students receive a monthly allowance of 1,200 euros, plus international and national transport, insurance, help with accommodation and cultural activities. Doctoral students receive a monthly stipend of 2,000 euros and housing assistance.
The length of support depends on the level: up to 12 months for the second year of a master's, up to 24 months for the first year of a master's, up to 36 months for an engineering degree, and 12, 18 or 36 months for a PhD depending on the candidate's doctoral enrollment status.
Who can apply
Applications must come through French higher education institutions, and only accredited master's, engineering or doctoral degree programs qualify. Master's applicants must live outside France when they apply. Doctoral candidates already studying in France may still be eligible, but priority goes to those living outside the country. Continuing education, apprenticeship contracts and professional training programs are not eligible.
How to apply
Candidates first choose a school, and can get advice from Campus France in their own country or from the French Embassy. They can also contact the international office of their chosen French school or university to ask about deadlines and application steps.
The candidate then applies to that institution and says they want to be considered for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship. If the school agrees, it submits the application to Campus France online on the candidate's behalf.
Key dates
The application deadline is January 6, 2027.
