Eiffel Excellence Scholarship 2027 in France (Fully Funded)
Overview
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship is a French government scheme created by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to help French higher education institutions attract international students to Master's and Doctoral programs. All French universities take part, and around 350 scholarships are awarded each year. Applications for the 2027 round close on 8th January 2027.
Who can apply
The scholarship is for international students seeking a Master's or PhD in France. Applicants do not apply on their own: only candidates nominated through Campus France are considered. Fields of study are grouped under themes that include science and technology, biology and health, ecological transition, mathematics and digital sciences, engineering sciences, social and human sciences, history and French language and civilization, law and political science, and economics and management.
What you get
The award includes a monthly allowance, with separate rates for Master's and doctoral students, plus international airfare, domestic travel support, insurance, and help finding housing and taking part in cultural activities. Holders of French government scholarships are also exempt from tuition fees for programs leading to a national diploma such as a Master's or doctorate, or an accredited engineering degree.
Funding lasts up to 12 months for the second year of a Master's, up to 24 months for the first year of a Master's, and up to 36 months for an engineering degree. Doctoral awards run from 12 to 36 months.
How to apply
The first step is to contact the Campus France office in your country, which is the only route for nominations. Students choose the school or university that best fits their plans. The chosen institution then accepts and supports the application and submits it online through the dedicated Campus France platform. Applications sent directly by students or by foreign institutions are ineligible.
Key dates
The application deadline is 8th January 2027.
