Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Scholarship 2027 (Fully Funded)

Overview

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies in Qatar offers fully funded Master's and doctoral scholarships each year to Qatari and international students for the 2027 intake. The scholarship is open to citizens of all countries, and the English requirement can be waived for candidates whose earlier degree was taught in English.

What you get

There are two main scholarships. The Tamim Scholarship, for Qatari students and international students in the Arab region, gives a full tuition fee exemption, free accommodation, a monthly stipend, health insurance and two travel tickets, one on arrival and one after graduation. The Sanad Scholarship, for international students living anywhere, Qatari nationals and residents of Qatar, covers program fees (10 to 100%), full tuition, free accommodation, a monthly stipend and health insurance.

Study fields sit in two schools. The School of Social Sciences and Humanities includes critical security studies, social and clinical psychology, social work, human rights, media studies, history, journalism, politics and international relations, philosophy, linguistics and Arabic lexicography, sociology and anthropology, and conflict management and humanitarian action. The School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy includes public policy, public administration, the Executive Master of Public Administration and the dual EMBA-EMPA degree.

Who can apply

Applicants must have earned a Bachelor's or Master's degree and submit all earlier education documents, with transcripts certified by official authorities. A valid IELTS Academic score of at least 6.5, or a TOEFL score, is required unless waived by an official university letter confirming English as the main language of undergraduate instruction. Candidates also need at least three academic reference letters and an updated CV.

How to apply

Applicants create an application on the admission portal; only one application per admission is allowed, and it can be saved and completed later. They upload the required documents and request references through the system, which emails the referees automatically. Everyone applies for admission and fills in the scholarship section of the form.
