Overview

The Chulalongkorn University C2F PhD Scholarship 2027 is a fully funded doctoral fellowship intended for high-potential domestic and international researchers. Established under The Second Century Fund to advance the university among leading global research institutions, the program supports doctoral studies and research activities in Bangkok, Thailand.

Who can apply

Applicants must hold a recognized Bachelor's or Master's degree with a high cumulative GPA and either apply for or hold an admission offer for a full-time PhD program at the university. Candidates need to demonstrate research potential for international peer-reviewed publishing, secure a qualified faculty mentor from the university to supervise their research, and meet the English proficiency requirements established by their department or faculty using tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, or CU-TEP.

What you get

The fellowship provides a complete waiver for university tuition and academic fees, a monthly living allowance for housing and daily expenses in Bangkok, and a retention payment awarded upon successful submission and publication of agreed high-impact research outputs. Scholars also receive full access to advanced laboratory facilities, research centers, and international conference opportunities.

Requirements

Applicants must submit official degree certificates and academic transcripts with cumulative GPA conversion evidence, a research proposal and study plan aligned with the designated output tracks, proof of English language proficiency, an academic curriculum vitae detailing publications and awards, recommendation letters from academic supervisors, a mentor confirmation letter from a faculty member, and a copy of a passport or Thai national ID.

How to apply

Candidates must first identify and contact a prospective PhD mentor at the university whose research aligns with their proposal, then apply for a full-time PhD program through the graduate school portal. After selecting a funding track in coordination with their mentor, applicants register and submit their scholarship materials through the online system and monitor the official batch announcement lists published twice a year.
