Boston University Scholarships In USA 2027 (Funded)

Overview

Boston University offers merit-based scholarships for 2027 to students at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. The awards recognize academic excellence, leadership potential and extracurricular achievement, and further awards support talented athletes, performers, artists and creative scholars. The best known are the Trustee Scholarship and the Presidential Scholarship. The university accepts the Duolingo English Test, so applicants without IELTS or TOEFL can still apply.

What you get

Trustee Scholarships are the most prestigious award open to international students, with 20 offered and covering all tuition and fees. The Presidential Scholarship is worth $25,000 per year. Finalists in the National Merit Competition who name the university as their first-choice college with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation before March 1 are considered for a separate National Merit award.

Who can apply

International students and US citizens can both apply. US citizens, permanent residents and other eligible citizens are considered for all merit and other scholarships, while international students are considered only for the Trustee and Presidential scholarships. Study areas include the College of Arts and Sciences, Communication, Engineering, Fine Arts, General Studies, Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, the Pardee School of Global Studies, the Questrom School of Business, Hospitality Administration, Wheelock College of Education and Human Development, Medicine and Dentistry.

How to apply

All applications are submitted online through the university portal, and late applications are not accepted. Submitting the FAFSA and the CSS Profile is recommended.
