AHRC Doctoral Landscape Scholarship Awards at Birmingham City University 2027
Overview
The AHRC Doctoral Landscape Awards at Birmingham City University 2027 are part of a funding scheme from the Arts and Humanities Research Council aimed at expanding the United Kingdom capacity for doctoral research in the arts and humanities while fostering an inclusive research culture. Birmingham City University is one of fifty universities in the United Kingdom to receive funding to support fifteen doctoral studentships over a five-year period. For the September 2027 entry, Birmingham City University is offering six fully funded PhD studentships, comprised of three funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and three match-funded by the university. Participants become part of a cohort drawn from across the Midlands and gain access to an interdisciplinary training environment and regional network of researchers through the East and West Midlands Regional Hub.

Recipients also receive expert supervision and mentoring from leading arts and humanities researchers, plus participation in collaborative training, professional development, and networking opportunities through the regional hub.
