Youth Ambassadors for Raising Awareness of the Dangers of Illegal Immigration – Phase Two: Apply to Promote Safe Migration and Youth Empowerment
Overview
The Youth Ambassadors for Raising Awareness of the Dangers of Illegal Immigration, Phase Two, is an initiative designed to engage young people in raising awareness about the risks of irregular migration, promoting safe migration pathways, and encouraging youth to explore sustainable local alternatives. The programme forms part of the second phase of the Youth Empowerment Project, which is implemented by the National Coordinating Committee for Combating and Preventing Irregular Migration and Trafficking in Persons, chaired by the Cabinet, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration.
Selected participants are expected to communicate accurate information, challenge misinformation, encourage informed decision-making, and promote opportunities that help youth improve their circumstances without resorting to unsafe migration routes. The initiative operates by equipping youth ambassadors with knowledge and inviting them to propose practical awareness activities and economic empowerment interventions tailored to their local governorates.
