Young Women’s Empowerment : Agrifood Leadership Education Programme (ALEP) 2026

The United Nations General Assembly has declared 2026 as the International Year of the Woman Farmer (IYWF). The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will lead its implementation in collaboration with governments, UN entities, civil society, academia, development partners, and the private sector. The IYWF emphasizes targeted action to empower women working across agrifood systems.
