Overview

The WTPO Awards 2027 are organized through the International Trade Centre to bring together the global trade promotion community and recognize Trade Promotion Organizations for initiatives that strengthen exports, support businesses, improve SME competitiveness, and contribute to sustainable economic development. Participating organizations gain international recognition, demonstrate measurable impact, exchange good practices, and connect with global trade promotion leaders. The awards feature three main categories covering partnerships, technology, and inclusive and sustainable trade, alongside a new TPO Trailblazer Award for organizations implementing concrete changes based on their TPO Roadmaps for Excellence.

Who can apply

Trade Promotion Organizations from around the world are invited to submit initiatives. Organizations may apply for both the main WTPO Awards and the TPO Trailblazer Award, as the two applications are independent and applying for one does not affect eligibility for the other.

What you get

Selected organizations receive international recognition and the opportunity to showcase innovative export development initiatives to the global trade promotion community.

Requirements

Applicants must submit initiatives corresponding to one of the main award categories, which include Best Use of Partnerships, Best Use of Technology, and Best Initiative for Inclusive and Sustainable Trade. Submissions should demonstrate meaningful contributions and measurable impact in areas such as export development, SME competitiveness, digital transformation, and sustainable trade. Organizations applying for the TPO Trailblazer Award must demonstrate concrete changes implemented in alignment with their TPO Roadmaps for Excellence, following separate evaluation criteria and a distinct process.

Key dates

The Stage 1 application deadline is November 15, 2026.
