Overview

World Vision Uganda is running its Graduate Internship Program (GRIP) for the financial year 2027 cohort. It places recent Ugandan graduates in a full-time internship, working alongside experienced professionals on humanitarian and community development programmes that serve vulnerable children, families and communities, with a focus on rural and semi-urban areas. The programme runs from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027.

Placements are in Kampala and many other locations, including Bugiri, Terego, Mpigi, Kamwenge, Arua, Karamoja, Pader, Yumbe, Adjumani and Soroti. Fields include finance and accounting, information technology, procurement and supply chain, public administration, human resources, education, nutrition and gender, agriculture, law, mass communication, civil engineering and WASH, statistics, and monitoring and evaluation.

Who can apply

Applicants must be Ugandan citizens aged 26 or below who completed a relevant bachelor's degree at a recognised university within the previous two years, with at least a Second Upper Class result. World Vision seeks young Christian professionals who are active in their church and can show Christian values, leadership experience, honesty and commitment to serving vulnerable communities. Candidates must be in good physical and emotional health and provide evidence of a recent medical check-up. Preference may go to graduates who benefited from World Vision child sponsorship or its community programmes.

How to apply

Applications are submitted online through the World Vision recruitment platform, choosing the opportunity that matches the applicant's specialisation. All documents must be combined into a single PDF: a cover letter, curriculum vitae, copy of a national ID, a 500-word statement of faith and certified academic documents. Qualified women are encouraged to apply, and only shortlisted candidates are contacted. World Vision does not use employment agencies or charge any fee for recruitment, interviews or medical checks.

Key dates

The application deadline was 8 August 2026. The internship begins on 1 October 2026 and ends on 30 September 2027.
