WFP Management Services Assistant Job 2026 – Apply for a Service Contract Position in Fiji
Overview
The World Food Programme (WFP) is recruiting a Management Services Assistant in Suva, Fiji. The post is a full-time Service Contract at grade SC5 for 12 months, based at the Pacific Multi-Country Office (job requisition JR125655). It supports the full cycle of implementing USG-funded awards across the Pacific portfolio.
WFP describes itself as the world's largest humanitarian organisation, using food assistance to help communities affected by conflict, disasters and climate change move toward peace, stability and prosperity.
What you will do
The assistant helps deliver management services in a compliant way. Tasks include verifying resource needs for travel, facilities, assets and light vehicle fleets, supporting facilities, travel, protocol and fleet services, reporting discrepancies, compiling and analysing operational data, and preparing reports for internal and USG donor needs. The role also supports administrative actions on procurement, finance, human resources and external contracts, records activities accurately in WFP systems such as WINGS and SAP, reviews procedures, answers queries, coordinates and supervises staff on USG-funded operations, trains colleagues on administrative procedures, and supports basic finance transactions.
Requirements
Applicants must have completed secondary school. A post-secondary certificate or first university degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, logistics or public administration is an advantage alongside extra experience. At least five years of experience in management services and resource management is required, and experience with WFP grant management systems is essential. Experience with US-funded grants is desirable.
Key competencies are business support and reporting, internal controls and risk management, resource management, administrative services and customer focus. Fluent English is required, and another UN language is an advantage.
