Overview
UNICEF is recruiting a Senior Executive Associate at grade G-6 in Rome, Italy, within Private Fund Raising and Partnerships. The post is a Fixed Term Appointment in the Administration category. The associate provides trusted executive, administrative and operational support to the director of the area and helps the Director's Office run smoothly.
What you will do
The associate helps manage a demanding agenda, missions, correspondence, briefings and priority follow-up. Duties include handling complex calendars, coordinating meetings, planning travel, running office administration, organizing high-level meetings, events and missions, and preparing correspondence, briefing materials, presentations and meeting records. The role tracks actions, deadlines and deliverables and coordinates with stakeholders across a large, multicultural and geographically dispersed organization. It also includes budget monitoring support, procurement support and communications support.
Who can apply
The vacancy is open to EU citizens or holders of a valid Italian work permit. Applicants need completed secondary education, with technical or university courses in the field preferred, and at least six years of progressively responsible experience in executive support, office administration and management, or operational support. Experience supporting senior executives is preferred, and discretion and sound judgment are essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint is required, along with knowledge of administrative policies, procedures and information systems. English is required; another UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset. Experience with ERP or VISION systems, the UN system or other international organizations, and knowledge of fundraising, partnerships, humanitarian or development settings are also desirable.
