Overview

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is recruiting a home-based Junior Programme Coordination Analyst (job ID 35544) to support the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC) through the UNDP/Joint Support Team. The post is full-time at grade IPSA-8 under an International Personnel Service Agreement for six months, open to internal and external applicants. GPEDC is a multi-stakeholder partnership created through the Busan Partnership Agreement in 2011, bringing together governments, bilateral and multilateral organizations, civil society and the private sector. The analyst will contribute to the final year of its 2023-2026 Work Programme and to preparations for the 2027-2030 programme.

What you will do

Tasks include drafting and editing concept notes, moderation notes and other programme documents, preparing speaker invitations and biographies, developing communications materials, taking minutes and tracking follow-up, updating website content, drafting press releases and social media toolkits, supporting speaker outreach, logistics, high-level meetings and side events, preparing advocacy and outreach plans, writing stories of progress and blogs, and helping update more than 100 country pages tied to GPEDC monitoring.

Requirements

Applicants need a Master's degree or equivalent in public administration, public policy, international relations, political science, international development, economics, business administration, social sciences or a related field, with no professional experience required. Bachelor's degree holders need two years of relevant experience. Policy research, communications, conference organization, multi-stakeholder partnerships and development cooperation experience is desirable, along with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Fluent English is required and French or Spanish is an asset.

What you get

The assignment is home-based and no travel is currently foreseen; UNDP covers eligible official travel if it becomes necessary.
